Dr Marion McGarry is a historian with a PhD from Ulster University and a Master's Degree from University of Limerick in history of art and architecture. She currently lectures in Galway Mayo Institute of Technology. She is the author of three books and her chief research interests are Irish history and identity; material culture and furniture design. She is also an award winning blogger and independent historical researcher of Sligo's links with Bram Stoker.
